In the arena of Euro-pop dance groups, ATC was the champion of the year 2000, having hoiseted themselves to the latest high water mark of co-ed, euro-pop foursomes by making their shirts tighter, their moves more synchronized and their pants more futuristic. It's certainly wasn't easy standing out among the swarming, body-rolling armies of European dance/club groups hitting the market at the turn of the millennium, but at least for a short while ATC could wipe the dance floor with similarly styled teams like Snap!, Aqua, Amber, S Club 7 and Eiffel 65. "Around the World (La La La La La)," ATC's finest masterpiece, reached the No. 1 spot on the singles charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and went all the way to No. 28 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 2000.

Although none of the members of ATC were from the same nation (Joey Murray is from New Zealand, Livio Salvi from Italy, Sara Egglestone from Australia and Tracey Elizabeth Packham from England), the band formed up in a neutral location, Germany, in early 2000. "Around the World (La La La La La)," their first single and the lead track on their debut album, Planet Pop, was an instant hit in the disco club circuit in Europe upon its release and was even a hot track at dance clubs in the United States. "Around the World (La La La La La)" was a re-make of a song called "Pesenka," which was written by Ruki Vverh, a popular Russian boy band during the mid 1990s. ATC took the tune, replaced the lyrics with English and re-gifted it to Western Europe with much, much more attractive packaging.

But "Around the World (La La La La La)" proved to be the last hit that ATC was able to come up with, although other songs like "I'm In Heaven (When You Kiss Me)" and "My Heart Beats Like A Drum (Dum Dum Dum)" were popular at their concerts. They were later sued by ATB, a DJ from Saxon, Germany, and forced to change their name to A Touch of Class. However, A Touch of Class' class was dismissed shortly thereafter as the members decided to go their separate ways in 2003.
