Blasting out quirky and playfully satanic dance-pop tunes, the British electronica outfit Black Ghosts has been accredited to getting crowds grooving to their graciously up-tempo music over the past decade. The Black Ghosts have sailed through the club scene in both the U.K. and the U.S., releasing hit singles like "Anyway You Choose to Give It and "Some Way Through This" while continuing to hone their classic and eerily energetic indie dance sound.

Comprised of one former member of the psychedelic pop band Simian and another ex-member of the British trip-hop group the Wiseguys, the Black Ghosts' Simon Lord and Theo Keating (aka DJ Touche) formed their new group Black Ghosts in the early 2000s after spending years in different directions with their music. While both Keating and Lord have widely varying musical experiences, they have something in common as both men come from musical backgrounds. Keating's grandfather played the oboe with the London Symphony Orchestra, appearing on the Beatles' "A Day in the Life" and also contributing to the Star Wars theme, while Lord's father, on the other hand, was a musician who dabbled with electronica styles, building synthesizers and creating new sounds for trance/dance music. It's no wonder, then, that Keating and Lord themselves continued the family tradition by pursuing careers in the music industry, and after the two left their respective bands they quickly began working together, releasing their debut single "Face" in 2006 on Southern Fried Records.

Slowly gaining momentum with "Face," Black Ghosts next released a string of remixes, hitting the club circuits with a remix of Gossip's hit song "Listen Up!" 2007 brought a year spent touring the globe, and the duo's eponymous debut album was released in 2008, popularized by the single "Repetition Kills You," a song with guest vocals provided by Damon Albarn.
