Bob Sinclar is just one name of the talented French DJ Christophe Le Friant. He is also known as the Might Bop, Reminiscence Quartet and Chris the French Kiss. No matter what he is called, he has changed the world of house music with his ability to dabble in a variety of genres and bring each of them seamlessly into the dance scene. His DJing started in the late 1980s when Le Friant was in his teens. By the early 1990s, he had started producing and running Yellow Productions, a French company. His first few releases on Yellow were under the names the Might Bop and Reminiscence Quartet.

The Mighty Bop had a hip-hop feel to it that was gaining Le Friant a loyal following. By the late 1990s, he was ready for a different direction and therefore created his newest persona, Bob Sinclar. Unlike his more serious endeavors, there was a fun to the beats that Sinclar put out. He released his first EP in 1997 called A Space Funk Project, followed by his first album, Paradise, a year later. The single from that release, "Gym Tonic," became a club favorite in his home country. The word spread and soon the album was released to the rest of the world in 1999.

He released an album as the Mighty Bop in 2000 as well as his second album as Sinclar, Champs Elysees. The sound on this release was similar to its predecessor, but fans couldn't get enough. 2001 brought a mix album called Cerrone by Bob Sinclar. He released the single "Love Generation" in 2005, which paved the way for his 2006 album, Western Dream. Next came Soundz of Freedom, My Ultimate Summer of Love Mix in 2007, an album that found him again on the dance charts. That same year, he released two live albums.
