Crossin Dixon

Missippi State's good time, whisky totin', guitar slingin' southern rock/country music band Crossin' Dixon, sounds like entertainment and the good ol' days. The group signed their first recording deal with Broken Bow Records in September 2006. The band has vocals to rival Alabama and a strong country vibe, giving out the sound that can only come from the Deep South.

The band made a name for themselves in their first two years, starting in 2004, playing the college and club scene. They do over 100 shows a year, which are guaranteed to get a good audience. Crossin' Dixon, which first performed as Kyote Wylde, is made up of four members - Jason Miller on vocals, Michael Bole on drums, and Brandon Hyde and Charlie Grantham on guitar/vocals.

The group released their first single, Guitar Slinger, on June 19, 2007. The song is written by Clawson, Di Piero, and Stone. The Slinger shows the full potential of the group, with tight harmonies and a strong conviction as they sing. The song is a great indicator of how far exactly the band is able to go, and the prospect is promising.

The band has recently recorded a new single, "Old Bird Dog" which can be heard on their website along with the songs "Make You Mine," "Guitar Slinger" and "Stomp." The smooth swagger and earthy energy of the group seems likely to take them all the way to the gold. While the band is on the rise, their music has already begun to take crowds by storm. "Stomp" was recorded for NASCAR 08 to help put the pedal to the metal for the drivers and show the world what racing is really all about.
