Dave Koz, a successful musical artist, humanitarian, radio host and music advocate, was born and raised in San Fernando Valley, California. It was there that he learned the tricks of the trade associated with playing the saxophone. Initially his interest in the instrument was spurred only because he wanted to gain entry into his big brother's band. His determination to infiltrate his brother's musical group led Koz on a journey that would lead back, once again to the saxophone.

After obtaining a degree in Mass Communications at UCLA, Koz decided that his preferable method of communication rested in the sound of music. Almost immediately after the decision was made to pursue a career in music, Koz was invited to tour with Bobby Caldwell's band, and later on embarked on a tour with keyboardist Jeff Lorber and finally with pop singer Richard Marx. In 1990, Dave Koz was signed to Capitol Records as a solo artist and that same year he released his self-titled debut album. It was just the first of many successes which included: Lucky Man, Off the Beaten Path, The Dance and Saxophonic, along with a plethora of holiday albums.

In addition to his lucrative music career, Koz also hosts his own radio show that is broadcast in cities around the United States, is the co-founder of the independent record label called Rendezvous Entertainment, and serves as the Global Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation. As if these commitments weren't enough, Koz devotes a good amount of his time to touring-reaching out to his many fans and engaging them in the magical world of music.
