Teen heartthrob Jesse McCartney has been around the entertainment industry long enough to score fame with a Broadway performance, an acting gig on the soap opera All My Children, boy band success and a dynamite solo singing/songwriting career - and he's still in his 20s. The toehead teen pop star is a common face (and voice) in the music business, continuing to pump out number one hit songs while partaking in a handful of other acting and singing responsibilities, as well.

McCartney showed his face in the entertainment industry early on in his life, joining his first boy band Dream Street at the tender age of 12. Members of the teeny-bopper pop group gained star status with their eponymous debut album before eventually going their separate ways, leading McCartney into another musical path with musical contributions to children's films Cinderella Story, Stuck in the Suburbs and Ella Enchanted. The teen sweetheart also landed a role on the WB drama Summerland, all the while working on his solo music career.

In 2004, McCartney's solo career went in a gigantic upward spiral. The young vocalist's debut single "Beautiful Soul" achieved monumental success, bringing the album of the same name up to number 15 on the Billboard 200 in '04. Banking off his initial success, McCartney released a live album depicting his Soul tour in 2005, followed up by Right Where You Want Me in 2006. McCartney continued with his never-ending success in 2008 with his album Departure, and the hit single "Leavin'" off the 2008 album reached the number one slot on the Pop 100 Airplay. Since the release of his '08 album, McCartney has also been busy co-writing songs, including the recent Leona Lewis masterpiece "Bleeding Love," a smash single written along with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder.
