Los Temerarios may be one of Latin pop's only groups to produce charting albums and singles for more than two decades, and their romantic type of bubblegum ranchera music has had Mexican and Mexican-American teens swooning over the tejano group for decades.

Brothers Adolfo and Gustavo Ángel Alba are the two masterminds behind Los Temerarios, creating a musical outlet from their hometown of Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico in the 1970s after being exposed to music when their father rented a room in their house out to local bands as rehearsal space. Growing up around music, the Alba brothers would sneak in and practice on bands' sets as they were left in the house. This early exposure to Latin music led the boys to create the music group La Brisa in 1977, performing at weddings and parties around their area. Eventually getting a record deal with CBS Mexico in 1983, Adolfo and Gustavo changed their moniker from La Brisa to Los Temerarios, focusing on rancheras, cumbias and corridos. The group floated around the music scene through the ‘80s, not scoring major success until discovered by Monterrey-based indie label Disa in the late ‘80s. Inking a deal with the label, Los Temerarios slowly matured into the good-natured band they are today. Romantic ballads like "Tu Infame Engaño" ("Your Famous Deception"), "Ven Porque Te Necesito" ("Come, I Need You") and "Sí Quiero Volver" ("Yes I Want to Come Back") molded the group into a category among love balladeers, and by 1991 the group had added bassist Fernando Angel (Adolfo and Gustavo's cousin), drummer Mario Ortiz and percussionist Carlos Abrego, forming Ángel Records in San Antonio and releasing a throng of albums.

At a time when it was incredibly difficult for Latin groups to enjoy fame on the Billboard's Latin singles charts, Los Temerarios got around the obstacle with their American-based record label, releasing various number ones across the charts. Los Temerarios eventually ventured into film, but continue to keep their feet wet in music even today.
