Spice things up a little bit with some well-known Latin tunes from famed performer Luis Miguel. Miguel is originally from Puerto Rico and has developed into an international star who continues to make an impact on the music world with his sophisticated and sentimental music. He got his start in the 1980s, but it wasn't really until the 1990s that Miguel started becoming a popular musician throughout Latin America as well as in the United States. Two of his albums, Romance and Segundo Romance, went platinum in the United States, a feat that other Latin stars have not been able to accomplish. Part of his appeal is ability to relate to his fans by singing in an intimate and tender way. His voice is soothing to listen to, and it is no wonder that he has been able to stretch his appeal beyond the borders of Latin America.

So far, Miguel has earned three Grammys in the U.S., with one of the awards stemming from the album Segundo Romance. He followed up with even more popular albums like Musipistas, Nada Es Igual and Amarte Es un Place. The latter album won him two Grammy Awards at the Latin Grammys for Male Pop Performance and Best Pop Album. The record is full of romantic, upbeat songs that are likely to tug at any listeners heart strings. Also appearing on the album are more jazz-influenced numbers like "Sol, Arena y Mar" and "Quiero." There is even one track that can be considered a dance song, "Te Propongo."

Luis Miguel was also nominated in the Favorite Latin Artist category in 2003, as his international stardom was blooming with everyday. One of his more recent albums, Mexico el la Piel, has sold three million copies worldwide, and he followed up its release by touring to cities around the world. Luis Miguel is no small star and his numerous awards and his constant touring prove that he is still able to attract crowds of thousands no matter where in the world he might be.
