Luke Bryan started small. He grew up in the pint sized town of Leesburg, Georgia, where he would help his father with his peanut and fertilizer business. As a pastime he would sing George Strait songs on car rides. These were the beginnings of a highly successful singing career for the young Luke Bryan. When Bryan was a teenager he played at a local club called Skinners, where he would strum his guitar and share the lead vocals with other up and coming musicians. Before long Bryan was writing his own lyrics and was leading his own band. Soon the confines of little Leesburg would prove to be too stifling for Bryan and he would find himself exploring the nation beyond his city's borders. His voice would be the path that would lead him an incredible journey and would ultimately make him one of the top recording country music artists of today.
After the tragic loss of his older brother in a car accident, Bryan found an escape in songwriting. He expressed his sorrow and his feelings in the music that seemed to flow freely from his guitar. After enrolling at Georgia Southern University he took to performing in local clubs and eventually recorded an album of ten songs, almost all of the tunes he had penned himself. Luke Bryan was heading for the big leagues in the music industry and before long he was signed to a record label and his first EP was released in 2006. "Country Man," "Baby's On the Way," "The Car in Front of Me" and "All My Friends Say." One year later his first full length album, called I'll Stay Me was released by EMI. The record proved to be an immediate success among country music fans and spawned the hits "All My Friends Say" and "We Rode in Trucks."
Luke Bryan has come a long way from small town Leesburg. Along the way he has endured tragedy as well as incredible success. Today he is at the top of his game in the country music world and fans eagerly await the release of his next album, which will undoubtedly be full of uniquely original songs and will boast that familiar country twang of Luke Bryan.
