Masta Ace Incorporated was the creation of Masta Ace and the group released a couple of hit albums in the 1990s. Masta Ace hails from Brooklyn, New York and was getting noticed for his rhyming skills from a young age. He got a breakthrough when he recorded a verse with the famous group Juice Crew on the song "The Symphony." The fame generated by this single helped pave the way for his debut album, Take a Look Around. The album showed Masta Ace as a top up-and-coming artist and reached number 38 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in 1990.
It was after this release that Masta Ace created Masta Ace Incorporated, which also included Lord Digga from Bluez Bruthaz, vocalist Paula Perry and Leschea, a singer and songwriter. The group combined sounds from both the East and West Coast, making their rap style unique. They released Slaughterhouse in 1993, which brought in success for the group by reaching number 32 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 134 on the Billboard 200. With mainstream success knocking on the door, the band followed it up with Sittin' on Chrome. The popularity of Sittin' on Chrome topped Slaughterhouse, and the album reached number 19 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart as well as number 69 on the Billboard 200.
After the second release, the members went their separate ways, leading to Masta Ace returning to his solo career. It took him more than six years to release his follow up, Disposable Arts, which hit stores in 2001. In the meantime, he released a few singles like 1998's "Born to Roll." He released A Long Hot Summer in 2004. The album reached number 44 on the Top Independent Albums chart along with climbing to number 82 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
