Natasha Bedingfield has certainly made her mark on the dance-pop music scene with her lively and exuberant personality and catchy, feel-good songs. Bedingfield is originally from New Zealand but spent her childhood growing up in London. All her life, Bedingfield was influenced by the sounds of music, and at one point, she and her siblings formed a small, R&B based singing group. Although the little outfit didn't last long, it encouraged Bedingfield to eventually pursue a full time career in the industry.

Natasha gave up on her studies at the university and instead scored a record deal with well known label BMG. Her debut album, Unwritten, helped Bedingfield score big on the charts, held up with hot singles like "These Words" and "Single." The album itself topped the number one spot on the British charts, and fans welcomed her rhythmic pop sound by buying up millions of copies of the record. Bedingfield's sound was not only making an impact in Britain but also across the ocean in the United States. She offered a bold, fresh new sound to the industry that all too often was getting inundated with the same old monotonous pop tunes that after a while all started to sound the same.

In 2007, Bedingfield wowed fans with another single called "I Wanna Have Your Babies," which prepared fans for the arrival of her sophomore effort, N.B. Although the second album was ultimately never released in the U.S., a cut down version of the record plus six new ballads appeared later on the effort titled Pocket Full of Sunshine. Bedingfield has surpassed expectations as a dance-pop singer. Her songs are encouraging and always seem to get people up on their feet and singing along.
