Entrepreneur, rapper and celebrity delight Slim Thug has been on the music scene less than a decade, yet the innovative Houston hip-hop artist has paved his own way to commercial success, busting out clever rhymes and energetic beats that have Southern and Northern rappers alike commending his success and riding the Slim Thug bandwagon. Thug's Boss Hogg Outlawz label has been a growing enterprise in the Dirty South, and Slim Thug has just now started to reach the apex of his music career.

A Houston, Texas native, Slim Thug grew up in the hip-hop rich area that includes MCs like Scarface, the Geto Boys and DJ Screw. While he spent his younger years running the streets on the north side of Houston, Slim Thug unexpectedly caught his big break when he met local producer Michael Watts, whose Swisha House crew brought the budding artist onboard with "Swisha House 98," illuminating Slim Thug's name in the rap industry. After getting involved in various business aspects from his Boss Hogg Outlawz label to owning record stores and becoming a real estate guru, Slim Thug set out to business, recording and releasing his own mixtapes and albums. We Make the Rules in the Streets, Thug's debut album, was self-released in 2004, preceding the monumental Already Platinum a year later under Geffen. The latter album went straight to the number two position on the Billboard 200 and R&B/hip-hop charts, paving the way for several more albums and singles to be released in the next few years.

Since 2005, Slim Thug has released albums Serve & Collect, Theme Song (Hoggs on Da Grind) and Wood Grain Wheel all in 2007, followed by Back by Blockular Demand in 2008. Thug's next album Boss Hogg on Candy is set to drop on December 23 of this year, so stay tuned for the rapper's hits to come!
