Travis Tritt was born on February 9, 1963 in Murietta Georgia. He began to love music when he was just a boy, and this musical mastermind taught himself to play the guitar at the age of eight. By the time he was 14, he was already writing songs with visions of music dancing through his head. He tried to settle down and have a family, but finding himself twice divorced and unable to settle down at the age of 22, he decided to pursue his dreams of music. While still working various odd jobs he began to take up music once more with the encouragement of his boss, who was a guitar player himself.

He set out, recording a demo tape at a studio owned by Danny Davenport, an executive of Warner Brothers, who heard his music and decided that this was a talent worth pursuing. He encouraged Travis along, and before he knew it, the singer was developing his own unique sound with country and Southern rock mixing added in with his native honky tonk.

Although Nashville was reluctant to take him on at first, he eventually won them over and released his debut album Country Club in 1990. Following that he had a string of number one and two hit singles, before the release of his big breakthrough album It's All About Change, which released in 1991. The album went multi-platinum, solidifying Trent's place in country music. T-r-o-u-b-l-e followed shortly after, going gold. Ten Feet Tall & Bulletproof was his next big hit, and in 1994 the album went platinum. Travis Tritt has since released seven albums and won two Grammy Awards for 1992's "The Wiskey Ain't Workin'" and "Same Old Train" in 1998. His most recent album is K.I.S.S. which he released on June 21, 2008.
