Post-hardcore rock band Unearth has been a thorn in the side of every hardcore band trying to make it big in the music business for the last 10 years, overshadowing the success of other groups while critics and fans alike have raved about their visceral and thunderous rock music since the late 1990s. Assembling a strong fan base in the East Coast, Unearth has steadily begun to infiltrate radio airwaves and commentary across the entire nation, bringing their volatile music to the forefront of the rock industry.

Formed in Boston, Massachusetts by vocalist Trevor Phipps, guitarists Ken Susi and Buz McGrath, bassist John Maggard and drummer Mike Justian, Unearth became a musical entity in 1998 and immediately hit the ground running, stirring up a ruckus on the East Coast with their signature brash and aggressive style. The quintet swirled up a hurricane of hit music and gained a dedicated local fan base in the late ‘90s, their name quickly catching on to bigger bands looking for opening gigs for tour dates. Unearth joined up with rock heavyweights such as the Black Dahlia Murder and Killswitch Engage before supporting the all-mighty Lamb of God and Slipknot in 1998 and 1999 tour dates.

Above the Fall of Man was Unearth's debut album in 1999, released under Endless Flight before the band switched to the Eulogy label for 2001's Stings of Conscience and 2002's Endless. Unearth's 2004 release Oncoming Storm with the Metal Blade label sparked a fury for the hardcore rockers, spawning a number one charting slot on the Top Heatseekers chart while also reaching the Billboard 200 and Top Independent Albums charts, as well. Oncoming Storm also earned the band a slot on 2004's Sounds of the Underground Tour alongside Lamb of God, Poison the Well and Clutch, and since then Unearth has released albums Our Days of Eulogy (2005), III In the Eyes of Fire (2006) and The March (2008).
