Learning that all good things take time, the Phoenix-based contemporary Christian music band Until June waited patiently for their time to shine in the spotlight of the music industry for the better part of a decade, keeping their religious faith through the entire process. Setting a deadline for their make-or-break efforts with the band, Until June marked the end of their potential journey at that - June. Establishing a catchy band name with their self-imposed time limit, Until June has since struck fame on the music scene, scoring a record deal and incredible fame through the means of self-promotion and iTunes.

Started by the brainwork and talent of brothers Josh Ballard (vocals/piano) and Dan Ballard (guitar), Until June came around in the late 1990s when the duo wrote and practiced songs together in high school. Carrying their brotherly bond and love for music to college at Arizona State University, the Ballards continued writing and recording songs (even despite myriads of different bassists and drummers in the band,) eventually coming out with their debut EP in 2000. Extensively promoting the EP, Until June's efforts were stifled when a bite from a major label fell through. Deciding to stick the band out until that June (of 2005), the band moved to Los Angeles and continued working the music circuits, taking second jobs to make ends meet. The addition of drummer Daniel Dempsey proved to be a turning point for the band, and just as the group's deadline was coming close they scored a recording contract with the Tennessee-based Christian label Flicker Records. Until June held off curious throngs of fans with a three-song EP they released solely on iTunes, and the EP led into the band's debut album, 2007's eponymously titled Until June.
