YoungBloodz have taken their love for hip-hop and their hometown of Atlanta and turned them into a successful rap career. Sean Paul and J Bo met when they were both attending Miller Grove Middle School in Atlanta. Even at that young age, both were aspiring rappers but decided to work together instead of separate. They started honing their skills as well as making a name for themselves in Atlanta. They soon became affiliated with a rap and production group called the Attic, and were soon shopping around for a record deal and found one with La Face Records.

They released their debut album on that label in September of 1999. The album was a success with the single "U-Way (How We Do It)" and ended up reaching number 21 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 92 on the Billboard 200. In 2002, they followed it up with Drankin' Patnaz after switching to Arista. It was an even bigger success for the duo as it climbed to number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number five on the Billboard 200. The album was also heralded by critics and a dramatic improvement from their successful debut release and proof that the duo still had what it takes to be on top.

YoungBloodz went back to La Face for their 2005 album, E'vrybody Know Me. The album hit number four on the Top Rap Albums, number seven on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and number 44 on the Billboard 200. From there, both J Bo and Sean Paul decided to try their hands at a solo career. While their solo careers were taking off, both said that YoungBloodz wasn't over and promised fans another release. They are also still under contract as a duo and therefore will most likely release another album shortly.
