If you have ever been to a nightclub you have undoubtedly been among the throngs of people gyrating to ATB's European club anthem "9 PM (Till I Come) into the wee hours. The 1999 techno hit is the masterpiece of DJ Andre Tanneberger, who you probably know under his alias, ATB. The Freilberg, Germany native is also behind remixes for Technotronic, Haddaway and Outhere brothers but it wasn't till "9 PM (Till I Come)" that ATB became a house-hold name (get it?) among the club set. The trance phenomenon scored ATB the number seven spot on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts as well as a name in the dance hit history books. ATB released a full-length album, the appropriately titled Movin' Melodies, the same year as he scored with his smash single. Movin' Melodies also included hit "Don't Stop."ATB collaborated with Canadian rock group Wild Strawberries along with Heather Nova and Enigma for his sophomore release, Two Worlds, which issued in October 2000. Two Worlds was a double CD featuring dance floor digs on one side and a decidedly downtempo sound on the other that had already created a buzz after ATB released single "Killer," a Seal and Adamski remake, earlier that year. "Killer" made Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and would not be the last time ATB would make the charts over the years. Several subsequent singles and compilations appeared before ATB released his next LP, Dedicated, in 2002. ATB continued to create albums full of trance tracks with 2003's Addicted to Music, 2004's The DJ in the Mix, 2004's No Silence and most recently 2007's Trilogy.
