With an eclectic electronica style and just a touch of funky techno-inspired spirituality, DJ Andy Hunter has taken drum ‘n bass clubs by storm in the 2000s. Hunter's trance/dance music can be heard blaring from nightclubs, TVs, films and radio stations across the globe, demonstrating the DJ's versatility and standout spinning abilities.Hunter grew up in the Midlands of England, a fanatic of all things music through his teenage years. Eventually, the DJ got into sound engineering and landed work with Suede and The Wonder Stuff in the 1990s before jet-setting to Bristol in 1992 to work with the New Generation Music and Mission. Quickly discovering the erupting drum ‘n bass scene there, Hunter was intrigued with the music and spent the next five years of his life perfecting it. 1999 brought another move for Hunter, this time to Swansea, Wales to pursue drum ‘n bass music there. It turns out Hunter was in exactly the right place at the right time; Wales exploded into a techno/house craze, and Hunter ultimately wound up working with Allstair Whitehead and Judge Jules at the world-renowned club Escape. After experiencing this kind of success, Hunter chose to go solo, working on eclectic albums full of dance mixes.Hunter's debut album Exodus was released in 2002 under Nettwerk Records. He struck gold with the songs "Go" and "Amazing," which launched him into international success with nightclubs, and also caught the attention of marketing and TV personnel. Hunter's music was featured on "The Matrix- Reloaded," "The Italian Job" and the ABC hit show "Alias." It can also be heard on video games including "Black Hawn Down," "Burnout Revenge," "Need for Speed Underground" and "Enter the Matrix." Continuing on with his knockout solo career, Hunter released Life in 2005, followed by Colours in 2008. Aside from studio work, Hunter has also toured with the famous DJ Tiesto, and has also performed a number of headlining tours.
