"Just as the Disney Channel helped to launch the successful careers of Mickey Mouse Club members Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears, Disney's newest teen pop star machine High School Musical is now the career launcher of choice for bright eyed young singers. Zach Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are just beginning their acting and singing careers, but there's no reason to believe that, with the start they've gotten off to already, they can't surpass the fame of the Disney class of the mid 1990s. Ashley Tisdale especially seems destined for international super stardom considering all that she has managed to accomplish thus far.Ashley Tisdale was born in New Jersey in 1985. Interested in singing and dancing at a very early age, she was discovered by her current manager, Bill Perlman, when she was just three years old. Numerous TV commercial roles, in addition to gigs in the touring productions of Les Miserables, Annie, The Sound of Music and Gypsy- A Musical Fable followed as Ashley quickly filled up her resume with acting experience. Tisdale made the jump to the Disney Channel when she auditioned for and won the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick in the TV series The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. When High School Musical came along Ashley Tisdale auditioned for the role of Gabriella Montez, the female lead aside Zach Efron's Troy Bolton, but instead landed the part of Sharpay Evans. As usual Ashley nailed the role. She hitched a ride on High School Musical's bullet train to Famous Town as the made-for-TV movie became an overnight sensation. She returned for High School Musical 2 and 3, lent her vocal talents to Disney's Phineas and Ferb, and appeared in numerous other television programs, such as Kim Possible and Hannah Montana. The success of High School Musical's soundtracks prompted many of the show's stars to pursue solo singing careers. Ashley debuted with an album called Headstrong, released under Warner Brothers in 2007. With singles like ""He Said She Said,"" ""Be Good To Me,"" ""Not Like That"" and ""Suddenly"" powering the record, Headstrong reached No. 5 in the Billboard Hot 200."
