Audio Adrenaline Biography

Audio Adrenaline has achieved status as a band that stuck together, without any breaking period, for over 15 years. Their presentation of their faith through their fusion of rock, rap and funk will go down in the history of Christian music as one of the best sounds of their generation. The band was composed of members Mark Stuart, on vocals and cowbell, Will McGinniss on bass, Ben Cissell on drums, Tyler Burkum on guitar and vocals, and Brian Whitman on guitar and BGVs.Audio Adrenaline have not only been active as artists, but they have also been heavily involved in missions and humanitarian work. They established the Hands & Feet Project, which is dedicated to seeing that orphans are raised in their own cultures, in hope that they grow up and change their countries for the better. The project started in 2005 and is now cares for 36 children ranging from two to nine. Even now, as the band says goodbye to their fans, the Project continues to be active and thriving. In 2006, the band chose to break up pending the release of their final CD, Adios: The Greatest Hits. The voice of their singer and front man Mark Stuart was beginning to fail, and the band simply couldn't go on. Mark Stuart's voice will be sadly missed by his fans, he has been described by some as being one of the greatest front men in Christian music of all time. Whether the band has gone away for good, or just for a time, their music will continue to influence and inspire people for Christ for generations to come. Their sound is both lasting and enjoyable and did not fade in the 15 years from the time they first started singing together, until the day they broke up.

Audio Adrenaline started out just wanting to praise God, but eventually found their calling in a deeper mission along the same lines. With their album Worldwide they found themselves focusing on a more aggressive communication of the message of the good news of Christ. They had a renewed and updated desire to share the story of Christ with the world. Worldwide was released in 2003, on February 25. The album found a place for itself in the Billboard 200 and peaked at number four on Top Christian Albums and Top Contemporary Christian.Playphone has made one of the tracks from that album available as a cell phone ringtone. "Ocean Floor" is a song that deals with the theme of sin. Opening with the narrator looking hopelessly at their sins, unable to make things right, the song moves through the theme of the grace of God and how he can take the sins and mistakes away. It is an uplifting song that expresses the grace of God, in spite of the inability to make sing right. Be sure to get this ringtone for your cell phone, as a constant reminder of the grace of God.
