Beyonce Biography

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born in Houston, Texas on September 4, 1981. She grew up singing and soon formed a girl group with her cousin Kelly Rowland along with other members. The group was called Destiny's Child and propelled the girls to fame. They rose to stardom during the late 1990s and early 2000s and the band was managed by Knowles's father, Matthew Knowles. With their incredible vocals and even hotter moves, the girls were destined for success. Some personnel issues led to the band switching out LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett for Michelle Williams, but nevertheless Destiny's Child continued to success.Beyoncé has teamed up with her singer sister Solange to create the clothing and accessory line Deréon. The motivation for the line comes from their mother, who has always had a hand in the girls' wardrobes. It boasts bold concepts and Creole influences. Almost as publicized as Beyoncé's music career has been her relationship with rapper Jay-Z. While neither would confirm the status of the relationship for years, the couple finally confirmed all speculation and they were married on April 4, 2008. The event was hunted by the media but remained a private affair.
