"Helping to build the rap legacy of Queensbridge, New York, rapper and Mobb Deep affiliate Big Noyd stomped onto the music scene back in 1993 for Deep's single ""Stomp ‘Em Out,"" continuing onward to become one of the greatest MCs in the business today. Noyd is an ever-popular fixture among the Mobb Deep generation, and his innovative rap music has captured the spirit of the music that came straight from Long Island City's Queensbridge projects.Big Noyd was born with the name TaJuan Perry in New York City's Queensbridge area. The aspiring rapper hailed from the sacred six-building housing project that was once home to rap superstars Nas, Havoc, Tragedy, Capone, Nature, Screwball, MC Shan, Marley Marl and Cormega, and Noyd did everything he could to follow in the artists' footsteps as he started building his musical empire. Noyd made his first appearance on the rap scene on Mobb Deep's album The Infamous, creating quite a stir in the business as he went from no-name to big-name overnight. Self-releasing his EP Episodes of a Hustla in 1996, Big Noyd fought to keep his place in the industry, striking gold with his 2003 release Only the Strong. It took years to reach total rap domination, but with the help of Mobb Deep Noyd eventually accomplished his rapping goals.In 2004 Big Noyd tried his hand at acting, appearing in the Mobb Deep-produced film Murda Muzik - The Movie. Albums On the Grind and The Stickup Kid followed in 2005 and 2006, respectively, and Noyd has recently made a comeback with the incredible album Illustrious, released in the winter of 2008. Following the success of his recent pieces, Noyd's Illustrious earned spots on the Top Heatseekers and Top Independent Albums charts, setting the rapper up for even more fame to come."
