In 1989, the Buffalo Tom trio burst onto the music scene with their straight-forward rock sounds that would come to define a generation of music. Complete with a characteristically unique style and a determination to remain on the forefront of the rock music industry, Buffalo Tom has succeeded where many other bands seem to fall by the wayside. They are unapologetic in their tune and offer up fans a plate of true, cutting edge sounds that are often missing from modern day rock music. Gritty and melancholy Buffalo Tom pushes their brand of rock to the forefront of the industry and over the years has adopted a dedicated fan following from around the world.The trio is comprised of Bill Janovitz, Chris Colbourn and Tom Maginnis. Together, this creative team has released some of the most memorable albums of a generation. Birdbrain, Let Me Come Over and Red Letter Day introduced the 1990s as a decade that would largely be defined by the hard-hitting sounds of rock music. As they blasted on through the 1990s, Buffalo Tom further released hit album after hit album, spawning several singles that included Soda Jerk and Three Easy Pieces.Buffalo Tom has appeared in several different television shows throughout the years and has toured throughout the United States and around the world. In addition, they have been musical guests at prominent musical festivals since their conception. Most recently, Buffalo Tom released a brand new album, much to the excitement of fans. The record is titled Three Easy Pieces and was released in July 2007 to critical and commercial praise. Their specific brand of rock is one that has been studied by other upcoming bands but has never been fully mimicked. The members of Buffalo Tom stand in a genre all by themselves.
