"At just 19 years old, Colby O'Donis has already made a name for himself as a singer, actor, guitarist, pianist, songwriter and dancer. O'Donis was born in New York City to Puerto Rican parents and was raised in Orlando, Florida. Loving music from an early age, O'Donis found inspiration in musical legends like Michael Jackson, Usher and Justin Timberlake as he grew up with Latin flavors and the R&B sounds of Florida that he has learned to incorporate into his music. At age nine, he began working with platinum producers Full Force, who had worked with the likes of the Backstreet Boys and N'SYNC, for some of his demos and first single ""Mouse in the House,"" which appeared on the Stuart Little soundtrack.Though he didn't see immediate success, he continued to pursue his dreams and started working on his percussion skills, studying the guitar with Johan Oiested, a musician for Carlos Santana. By age 11, he was starring in the television series Grandpa's Garage, and three years later he was a local opening act for the Backstreet Boys, Brian McKnight and 98°. At 15, he was able to work with his idol Jackson in Jackson's studio for his single ""Your Love in My Life.""After focusing on making music, O'Donis started producing by the time he was 12 and found his big break when he met Akon. The two worked together with several different Akon tracks before Akon's Konvict Muzic Label signed O'Donis. While he has continued to create his own music, he has gained a reputation with club DJs for his hot beats and effervescent sound. His self-titled debut album was almost completely put together by O'Donis himself with some help from Akon. One of his first singles, ""What You Got,"" appeared in January 2008 and has made O'Donis a mainstream success."
