"Corbin Bleu has always been a guy for the entertainment industry, and through various commercials, acting roles and, most famously, his singing and dancing skills in the 2006 slam dunk High School Musical, the young teen pop star has finally landed the ultimate prize - a solo singing career.Born in Brooklyn, New York, Bleu grew up in the right place to make his pop star dreams a reality. Beginning as a toddler in commercials and ads for companies like Macy's, Toys R Us, Hasbro, Nabisco, Gap and Target, Bleu's face was plastered around the nation practically from conception. Getting involved with musical theater, Bleu's life shifted when he moved to Los Angeles with his family at age 10, scoring cameos in television shows like ""ER,"" ""Malcom & Eddie,"" ""Cover Me"" and ""The Amanda Show,"" as well as films like Soldier and Mystery Men. Continuing on with his education, the young prodigy took dance with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, thereafter attending the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as a theater major.Catching his big break with the 2004 film Catch That Kid, Bleu then teamed up with Discovery Kids for the television series ""Flight 29 Down"" in 2005, followed by a blossoming relationship with Disney. Cast as the character Chad Danforth in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical in 2006, Bleu's increasing fame suddenly exploded. Continuing a partnership with Disney, Bleu took another lead role in the 2007 Disney film Jump In. As if this acting career wasn't enough, Bleu took off with his solo recording debut in 2007, as well, releasing the hit single ""Push It to the Limit"" for the film's soundtrack. The pop star's debut album Another Side, an R&B-infused release under the Hollywood label, was also released in 2007, landing on the Billboard 200."
