"Cristian Saenz Castro, better known as simply ""Cristian"" or ""El Galliot Felix"" (the Happy Little Rooster), is a Mexican pop singer who has followed in American pop singer's footsteps for keeping up a constant tabloid reputation rather than a singing one.Born in Mexico City in 1974, Castro was born into the media spotlight, as both his parent's were popular Mexican entertainers; actress/singer Veronica Castro and comedian/actor Manuel Vlades. With the help from his mother (he was early estranged from his father), Castro began performing alongside her in the televnovela (Mexico's soap opera) El Derecho de Nacer. While he focused on acting throughout the ‘80s, his true passion was always singing and he finally got the chance to perform his longtime love in 1992 with the album Agua Nueva. The album saw several hit singles, including ""No Podras,"" (number three on the Hot Latin Tracks single chart) as well as the title track and ""Diez Mil Lagrimas."" His recording contract with Fonovisa allowed him to record three more albums with the label, which subsequently followed in the next four years, including 1993's Un Segundo en el Tiempo and 1994's El Camino del Alma. Each album saw several more hit singles and kept Castro at the top of the charts with such singles as ""Con Tu Amor,"" ""Amor"" and ""Azul Gris."" At this point, Castro was establishing himself as a Mexican heartthrob with every single more heartfelt and romantic. In 1997 Castro moved to the label Lo Mejor de Mi and continued to see success with more Top Ten singles and several more albums, continuing through the ‘00s.Though he started to struggle with some personal problems, claiming bankruptcy after a nasty divorce in 2007, Castro continued to spear ahead. He released a mariachi album that same year."
