"She may be the younger sister of Australia's biggest pop star Kylie Minogue, but Dannii Minogue has secured 16 years in the music business with numerous hit singles and top-selling U.K. albums.Dannii was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1971 and followed in her older sister's footsteps by singing and dancing as a young girl before booking her first professional gig on the Australian TV series Skyways. A spot on Mickey Mouse Club-like series Young Talent Time followed and Dannii appeared on her first recording with the cast in 1985 (she left the show in 1988). With a successful clothing line called DANNII, the young star inked a recording deal with Mushroom Records and continued to hone her acting skills on daytime soap Home & Away. In 1990 Dannii released her eponymous debut album, which went gold status before the popstar's 21st birthday thanks to the success of chart-topping single ""Love & Kisses."" The collection of rock and pop songs was remixed and re-released two years later, followed by a subsequent string of dance albums which were released while Dannii continued to act both on the big screen and the stage and host television shows like Top of the Pops and The Big Breakfast. The new millennium brought the focus back to Dannii's singing, with American dance floor favorite ""Who Do You Love Now?"" from her Neon Lights album pushing the likes of Justin Timberlake and Beyonce off the charts. The album also featured singles ""Put the Needle On It"" and ""I Begin to Wonder"" and earned Dannii the moniker ""Queen of the Clubs"" in the U.K. In 2007 Club Disco was released digitally and further cemented Dannii as a dance floor diva. Dannii continues to live up to her ""Queen of the Clubs"" nickname with her music and by influencing the music scene in her native Australia as a judge on the American Idol-ish TV show Australia' s Got Talent and the U.K.'s The X Factor alongside creator Simon Cowell."
