"Disciple is a heavy metal Christian band that goes onstage with guitars blazing. Their passionate enjoyment of their music is evident in eclectic arrangements that they come up with. But most important of all, is the band's intense commitment to what they believe. Whether screaming lyrics into the microphone or creating a slower, more melodic sound - the band is committed to sharing their faith. The belief that Jesus Christ died for people's sins and rose again so that ""they"" could have a relationship with God is the most awesome and important thing to this solid group, and they are fully given to sharing what they believe with the people they come in contact with. The group is made up of four members - Kevin Young as vocalist, Tim Barrett on drums, Andrew Welch on guitar and Israel Beachy on bass. Former members of the group are guitarist Brad Noah and bassist Joey Fife. Young and Barrett started with Disciple just as their teen years were beginning. They hooked up with Noah in 1992 and recorded a ten song album, which was never released. They recorded and released their debut What Was I Thinking? in 1995.They continued to release albums through the rest of the ‘90s, and eventually went on to win the Inspirational Life Award in 2001. The group has released ten albums to date, and they have met with widespread success in their genre. The most recent album, Scars Remain, has made the top ten on Top Christian Albums and number one on Top Heatseekers. The group is still going strong after a long run together and are still rocking about their faith to all who will listen."
