"Hope Partlow had a head-start in the music industry; her aunt was a songwriter in the country capitol of Nashville and her father was a country singer in his own right. The Tennessee native was working on her family's 100-acre farm by day and taking the stage by night at only 14 years old when her musical family helped Partlow record a handful of original songs for her demo tape. The self-produced demos caught the eye - err, ear - of Virgin Records CEO and producer Matt Serlectic, who signed the pre-teen. Partlow released her debut album two years later. Who We Are echoed the early recordings of Jessica's little sis Ashlee with a Disney spin that granted the album's title track a spot as the theme song on the WB primetime comedy Living with Fran. The album spawned the catchy single ""Sick Inside.""In 2005 Partlow set out on her first major tour, opening for none other than teen heartthrob Jesse McCartney, but the high-profile series of concerts served as a foil rather than boost to her career; Virgin dropped the fledgling singer later that year. Partlow bounced back in 2008 when she inked a record deal with Decca Records (an imprint of Universal) as part of the Love Willows, a promising pop/rock duo she stars in with guitarist Ryan Wilson. Wilson, an Atlanta native, was a guitarist for Partlow's touring band in 2005 before they formed the Love Willows. The duo's first single, ""Falling Faster,"" is definitely an extension of Partlow's solo act that is only enhanced with the addition of Wilson. Their song ""Strut My Stuff"" was featured on the season finale of MTV's The Real World-Hollywood and comes from their debut album Hey! Hey!."
