Roberts first garnered fame for her single ""Break Down Here,"" which made cameos on the Billboard Hot 100 and country music charts in 2004, and the voluptuous blonde enchantress has been going strong in the country music realm ever since.The daughter of an engineer and an accountant, Roberts grew up singing the blues in Lancaster, South Carolina, performing in class musicals, summer camp productions and beauty pageants in her youth. After a two-year stint at the University of South Carolina, Roberts transferred to Nashville's Belmont University to pursue a career in music. After performing in local clubs and restaurants, Roberts landed a job as the assistant to Universal Music Group Nashville's Co-Chairman, Luke Lewis. Roberts' producer introduced her music to Lewis, and the young Cinderella signed a recording contract with the company in 2003, debuting her eponymous album in 2004. Julie Roberts earned the number nine position on the country charts in 2004, waking up America with the hit single ""Break Down Here,"" for which she is most recognized for. Also making the Billboards with the single ""The Chance,"" Roberts then dedicated her time for her next album, Men & Mascara, which fared even better on the Billboard charts. The release went to number four on the country charts, and the title track made the incredible balladeer extremely well-known among country music's finest.Among other accomplishments, Roberts has been nominated for two Horizon Awards from the Country Music Association, also performing on episodes of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and singing the ""Good to Go"" theme song for the television show Good Morning America.
