"DJ Krust can boast that he knows the paths of the underground following of electronica. That is where he got his start in the industry, where fans appreciated his creative flair and his uniqueness in an industry where often times much of the music sounds the same. Krust was born in Bristol in 1968 and was raised alongside the sounds of hip-hop. He also displayed a vested interest in the music business, and during the 1980s he started DJing in many local clubs and schools, steadily gaining a devoted following of fans. When the rave phenomenon took over, he forayed into the industry and perfected his skills as a turntablist and mixer. Krust, though, was not one to be confined to the underground clubs and music houses. The future had much greater success in store for him.A stint with the music group Fresh 4 landed Krust at an admirable spot on the charts with the song ""Wishing on a Star."" The track made it to the impressive number nine spot in 1989 and gave fans and critics an idea of just what this DJ's style was all about. After his short time with Fresh 4, he went on to work with other artists like Smith and Mighty and Flynn and Flora. In 1990 at the Glastonbury Festival, DJ Krust met up with Roni Size, and the two started producing tracks together along with other well known mixers of the time, DJ Die and Suv. The outfit would work together often, but the artists also remained dedicated to their solo endeavors. Ultimately, the group formed the Full Cycle record Label and released several prominent singles of the era. As time went on, Krust branched out and eventually achieved his own major label contract in 1998. His debut called True Stories was released the same year, followed shortly by Coded Language."
