"Named after the heart of traditional regional Mexican music, Los Invasores de Nuevo León (literally, the invaders of Nuevo León) have rocked, rolled and strummed their way through Mexico and the U.S. with their up-tempo norteño style of Latin music and three decades of experience in the music business.Starting their Latin pop career in 1978 when they won a call-in contest on radio station XETKR, Los Invasores de Nuevo León took their acquiring fan base and skedaddled to all parts of Mexico, creating a buzz with local performances and radio play. Group members Javier Rios (vocals/accordion), Homero de Leon (bass) and Eliud López (drums) got together under the direction of legendary norteño musician Ramón Ayala for this incredible but spontaneous band, and Los Invasores de Nuevo León immediately started to sprout like crops in the springtime.Releasing dozens of independent albums like Puro Sentimiento, Mil Pedazos and Profugo de Tijuana, the Latin homeboys finally inked a record deal with major label EMI Latin in 1997, sparking their worldwide takeoff in the music industry. Hit singles ""A Mi Qué Me Quedó"" and ""Total ya Se Fue"" saw time in the Top Ten on the regional Mexican airplay charts in the ‘90s and their 1998 release also went platinum, paving the way for the incredible career the musicians would continue to have in the 2000s. Pinning up hits left and right on the Latin and regional Mexican charts, Los Invasores de Nuevo León have released more than 40 albums since the conception of their never-ending career, impressively not buckling under stress or faltering in the constant change of band members Los Invasores often face. The band is still releasing hits in the recording studio, and 2007's Con Tal de Que Me Olvides marks Los Invasores' latest release."
