"Everyone knows Natalie Cole as the daughter of famous jazz and pop legend Nat King Cole. Like her father, she has excelled in the music industry, exploring the genres of R&B/urban contemporary and also jazz/pop rock. Her deep, sultry voice has graced many stages, and to date she has released a plethora of albums. She has a sophisticated elegance, and her songs are nostalgic, bringing back memories of smokey, jazz music clubs from eras past. Cole made her stage debut at the young age of 11 and continued her love of singing throughout her time in college. It was during this time that she met Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancey in 1973, and the three collaborated on several recording sessions. Soon the group landed a deal with Capitol Records, and the trio was responsible for several LPs like Inseparable, Natalie, Thankful, Unpredictable and I Love You.Each one of the albums that were released spawned several notable R&B hits including ""This Will Be,"" ""Inseparable,"" ""Our Love"" and ""I've Got Love on My Mind."" Each song represented the talent of Ms. Cole, and she continued her collaboration with Jackson and Yancey until 1983 when they recorded their final album together. Cole then teamed up with other popular artists like Peabo Bryson and Ray Parker, Jr. throughout the late 1980s. Some of Cole's other fantastic hits were ""Jump Start,"" ""I Live for Your Love"" and ""Over You.""She veered on a different path as far as style was concerned and recorded ""When I Fall In Love,"" a tune that was also recorded by her father in the late 1950s. One of the defining moments for Natalie Cole came with the release of her 1991 LP called Unforgettable, With Love. The effort ended up earning Grammy Awards as well as the status of number one pop album. She stuck with a more jazzy feel for her follow up effort called Take a Look. She is also responsible for many holiday inspired albums like The Magic of Christmas which was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra."
