"Ringo Starr made headway in the music world when he joined with the iconic British invasion band the Beatles. During his time with the legendary performers, from 1962 to 1970, he served as the drummer, incidentally becoming one of the most famous musicians of the era. After the Beatles split up, Starr went onto enjoy a successful solo career with two projects, an album titled Sentimental Journey and the second record called Beaucoups of Blues. The former was a pre-rock album and the latter covered the sounds of a country music style. He also enjoyed two hits with the singles ""It Don't Come Easy"" in 1971 and ""Back off Boogaloo,"" which appeared in 1972.In the early 1970s he went onto score other songs with ""Photograph,"" ""You're Sixteen"" and ""Oh My My."" He also achieved notoriety with the 1974 followup album called Goodnight Vienna, which brought forth the hits called ""Only You"" and ""No No Song."" Ringo Starr was most successful through the 1970s, and his popularity started to wane at the onset of the 1980s. He also was suffering from the excesses of booze and drugs but luckily had cleaned up his act by the end of the decade, and in 1992 he signed to Private Music and released a new studio album called Time Takes Time. He also went onto release Vertical Man, and his first seasonal effort called I Wanna Be Santa Claus.During the 2000s, he continued recording and performing, releasing Ringorama in 2003 and Choose Love, which came 2005. In 2006, he made an appearance on Jerry Lee Lewis' album, which was titled Last Man Standing. In 2008, Ringo toured with his tenth All-Starr ensemble, which also included other participants Colin Hay, Billy Squier, Hamish Stuart and Edgar Winter. Don't miss this ex-Beatle member, who is still creating waves around the world with his well-polished rock sound."
