Throughout the years singer and performer Rod Stewart has clung to his glamorous "Ladies Man" title, romancing crowds with his soft, passionate hits, many of which have become permanent sounds at wedding celebrations around the globe. Stewart seemed to have been born a star and his first few years in the music business presented a man who was determined to be noticed. One of his first stints in a music role was with The Hoochie Coochie Men in 1964. Before long the band was supporting the highly successful Rolling Stones on tour. Later, Stewart went on to join The Jeff Beck Group as their lead vocalist, which gave Stewart the exposure in the industry that he had been seeking.Even more notable was Rod Stewart's time with the rock group, The Faces. During this time Stewart eagerly pursued a solo career, while also making time to record and perform with the band. After The Faces called it quits, Rod Stewart took his star-talent solo full-time. His genius songwriting abilities and the soft, warm tempo that Stewart regularly displayed in his music became a staple in his career. His song "Maggie May" reached the number one spot on an international scale and continues to be one of his top hits even today.Later on in his career is when the swanky walk and lulling voice took shape and Rod Stewart became every ladies' number one man on the stage. His sound turned distinctively more pop-tinged and his live concerts attracted crowds of unprecedented size. These days, Stewart continues to deliver his most beloved tunes like "Forever Young," "It's All Over Now" and "The First Cut Is The Deepest," while exploring new avenues by performing song covers from a variety of popular artists.
