"Roxette is best known for their extremely catchy tunes and melodies that have struck a chord with many fans of pop music around the world. Comprised of musicians Per Gessle and Marie Fredricksson, Roxette's music is known for being radio-friendly and is appreciated by music lovers in many countries. The duo made an entrance with their debut in 1986, although their first effort struggled to find ground and flopped among critics. Their follow up album, 1988's Look Sharp!, however, propelled them to the top of the charts in both England and America. The sophomore effort spawned the big hits ""The Look,"" ""Dressed For Success"" and ""Dangerous.""Roxette appeared again in 1991 with another album, Joyride, which also proved that the band had generated widespread praise internationally. This record helped bring songs like ""Joyride,"" ""Fading Like a Flower,"" ""Soul Deep"" and ""Perfect Day"" to the forefront of the pop industry. After this album proved to be successful on the charts, the duo took a couple of years off and eventually returned with a new album called Crash! Boom! Bang! With this album, the duo took on a harder rock sound, proving that they could transcend genres. Some memorable tunes are ""Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave),"" and ""Sleeping in my Car.""In the latter part of the 1990s, the group continued to release more albums that included Baladas en Espanol and Stars. After these two albums graced the charts, Roxette released their greatest hits collection called Don't Bore Us Get to the Chorus in 2000. Fans latched on to some of their greatest contributions to the music world with songs like ""Wish I Could Fly,"" ""The Look"" and ""Dangerous.""
