Sullivan, the solidly Christian band from the label Tooth and Nail, is from the eastern state of North Carolina. Their musical arrangement is one that every Christian music fan, whether emo-head or pop-rock fan, should be sure to listen to. With impressive instrumentals, the sound of Sullivan is definitely one worth catching if you get a chance. The overtly Christian focus of their music adds a further appeal to the strong Christian crowd. The band is one of the biggest supporters of the organization TWLOHA, To Write Love On Her Arms, which has taken on the difficult mission of reaching out to those who are struggling with depression and self-injury, specifically that which is brought on by substance abuse and anxiety disorders. The group met the founder of the organization, Jaime, at a festival and started wearing shirts or hoodies that represent the organization. They also try to verbally promote TWLOHA when they can.The band released their first album Hey I'm A Ghost! on January 24, 2006. The album showcased their amazing guitars which build up intense, emotional sound and deliver their hooks with nothing less than amazing musical prowess. Though the album did show some need of musical progress, it does reveal a great deal of untapped musical capability that promises better things to come. The second album Cover Your Eyes was released remarkably quickly after the second, finding its way to shelves on June 5, 2007. With this album the band took a different approach, leaning more towards the sound of pop-rock rather than their previous emo-driven mournful mantras. The new sound definitely suits them better with excellent guitar riffs and aggressive forward thrusting attitude. Sullivan is a band to watch as they move forward, learning how to showcase their music to the betterment of their sound.
