The Fold overcame obstacles and virtually jumped through hurdles to establish their spot in the music world. It has not been an easy journey, and the path to the top has been unforgettable for the band members. Now this indie-rock band is relishing in their most recent accomplishments. The album, Secrets Keep You Sick, was released to the public in 2007 and the title track of the record was nominated for a Grammy Award. This was certainly not bad for a band that rose up through the ranks in the overly-competitive music industry. The band's most recent effort, an EP titled Stargazer is due out in 2008 and once again, The Fold is looking to attract more listeners.The Fold seems to transcend music genres, incorporating a little bit of everything into their unique sound. The result is an unusual package of songs that challenges the competition on the market today. Instead of following the mold, The Fold has broken it. The members blend the sounds of pop, rock, punk and soul to create their signature sound which has become a favorite of fans across the globe.Starting in 2002, The Fold released the EP Feeling Like Failure Now from the Independent label. The following year they introduced their album Not of This World also released from Independent. The Fold really crashed onto the music scene with the release of This Too Shall Pass, which was produced by Tooth and Nail Records. "Gravity," "Evermore" and "Backseat Drivers." Of course, the fame and glory came with the next record, Secrets Keep You Sick, which further helped to establish the band's name and featured the songs, "Medicine," "Your Secrets Keep You Sick" and "Closer." With more upcoming projects currently in the works, The Fold seeks to maintain their spot on the music world's stage for many years to come.
