"It's been less than 10 years since the alternative rock band the Fray started strumming their passionate tunes, yet the Colorado-based rockers have already earned inconceivable success around the nation with three number one songs on the charts and more waiting in the wings. Donning a mature edge to a type of pop/rock music eaten up by teenage fans, the Fray has garnered a fan base of all ages and genres over the past six years and has no plans for slowing up in the near future.The pieces of the Fray were woven together in 2002 after former schoolmates Isaac Slade (vocals, piano) and Joe King (guitar, vocals) ran into each other at a local music store. The duo immediately sparked up jam sessions, which eventually led to a full line-up when Slade's former bandmates Ben Wysocki (drums) and David Welsh (guitar) jumped on board with the Fray. The band's first hit single ""Over My Head (Cable Car)"" was inspired by a sibling/band member rift after Slade's younger brother Caleb was inducted into and then kicked out of the band, causing tension between the brothers. The beginnings of the Fray's successes started in 2002 with the Movement EP, followed up by 2003's Reason EP.
