"The Wylde Bunch is a 12 member alternative hip-hop outfit that formed in Los Angeles, California. The group incorporates all different styles and forms of music into their hip-hop beats and includes a live band, vocalists and emcees. The group has often been compared to the Sly Stone group as well as The Chili Peppers and OutKast. Consisting of MCs Tazzo, Speed, Rico and Yung Dame, guitarist Pops, bassist V. Ray, drummer Ish, keyboardist Daniel, trumpeters Janey and B., saxophonist Corey and backing vocalists Ken Folk and Byg Sexy, the group has a lot of sound and energy that they expose during their live shows. This alternative hip-hop group came together in the most unlikely of situations - via their school marching band. While these ""bandies"" loved to play music together, it wasn't until all members had graduated from college that they officially came together in solid form (though throughout their collegiate years the group continued to performed on and off together). Upon graduation, the members returned home and recorded a demo tape that immediately caught the attention of their local underground rap scene. Almost instantly, they heard back from an Arista R&R exec, Kawan Prather, who signed the Wylde Bunch to his label. That year the label helped cut the group's debut LP, Wylde Times at Washington High, which followed a series of gigs performing alongside groups like the Black Eyed Peas, The Beastie Boys, De La Soul, N.E.R.D, The Roots, O.A.R., John Legends and others. The following year the group members found their tracks featured on several video games, including Madden 2005, NBA Live 2005, NFL Street, Grand Turismo and Playboy Mansion. In 2006, they reappeared after suing Coolio for nonpayment on an episode of Judge Joe Brown with two EPs, In the Meantyme and Wylde Bunch.
