"Trillville started out with their southern rap sound at a young age. Three freshmen in Atlanta, Georgia's public school system decided that they were going to win the title of the ""Gods of Crunk"" in 1997. The three youths were Lil Atlanta (a.k.a. LA), Don P and Dirty Mouth. The group got their title by combining the worlds Truth and Real to create Trillville, because the boys wanted to keep it real and keep it true.Dirty Mouth was the section leader of the snare drum line at the school that they were attending. His innate musical talent and impressive writing ability caught the attention of Don P, who is the one credited with pulling the group together. Don P, at that time, was already working with his keyboard and creating beats as an MC. LA came on the scene as the promoter for the group, but they eventually learned that he was a talented rapper himself, and he became the third member. The group eventually got themselves tagged as ""That young crunk"" and found that they were representing a whole new wave in the hip-hop movement. They are the next generation of crunk and they are not going to back down until their sought after title is solidly in their hands. The group eventually released their debut album The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present - Trillville, which was released under Warner Bros. The album reached number 12 on The Billboard 200 and number 3 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Their second album was Trillville - Reloaded and was released on May 17, 2005. Following that came Straight Up. No Chaser, which was released under the label Bungalo. The album did pretty well on Top R&B/Hip-hop albums. Their particular brand of down and dirty lyrics have made them popular among a select following."
