The career of Trina almost didn't happen, but it seems like her talent is too pronounced for anyone to ignore. She grew up in the Liberty City part of Miami and later moved to Pembroke Isle, Florida. Her time in Liberty City was tough, but Trina worked hard to make it. Although she loved music, she first took a different route and was a real estate agent. Up-and-coming Miami rapper Trick Daddy wasn't about to let her get away from music, however. He asked her to work on a track with him, "Nanna N*gga," which went to third on the rap charts. Her name was now out there, and she was offered a deal with Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic Records. She released her debut album Da Baddest Bitch in 2000, which reached number 11 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 33 on the Billboard 200 chart. The title track and "Pull Over" were her top hits from that release. She followed it up with Diamond Princess in 2002. The album did even better than her first and reached number five on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. She also found success with the single "B R Right" from the album. She released Glamorest Life in 2005, which made it all the way to second spot on the Top Rap Albums chart and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Her single "Here We Go," charted on four different charts and made it to number three on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. Her newest release, Still Da Baddest, dropped in 2008 and was Trina's most successful album to date. It reached the top spot on both the Top Rap Albums chart and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and also reached number six on the Billboard 200 chart.
