"Trisha Yearwood was born Patricia Lynn Yearwood on September 19, 1964. Her father, Jack, was a banker and her mother, Gwen, was a third grade teacher. Trisha grew up on a farm in Monticello, Georgia, an hour outside of Atlanta. Her favorite musicians were Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and Kitty Wells. Even though she had always wanted to become a country star, she waited until she had her degree and was through college before she started her career. She studied in Nashville, where she could be at the center of the country music industry while still managing to get her degree.Yearwood is an incredible artist, and was one of the most popular female country stars of the ‘90s. She incorporates pop, folk and rock into her musical repertoire, giving her sound a wider appeal than just the general country audience. And yet she has still managed to be one of the brightest country stars around. As a Bachelor of Arts in Business, she holds onto an ability that is unique in the industry - an ability and talent at making decisions about her career by herself.Trisha started out in the industry as a receptionist for MTM Records in Nashville. By the late ‘80s she was singing backup and demos. Her eponymous debut album was released in 1991. It had the song ""She's In Love With The Boy"" on it, which continued to be a big hit throughout the ‘90s and is still played on radio stations today. Since then, she has released a full 10 albums and one concert album. Her voice is one that is recognized by country fans almost instantly when it comes on the radio. Since her debut peaked at number 31 in The Billboard 200, she has had a constant presence in the charts. Her music is one of the most remembered sounds of ‘90s."
