"He may be the son of a preacher man, but urban R&B crooner Urban Mystic and his Ghetto Revelations antics sound far from originating in the church. Urban Mystic grew up in the safety of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, feeding on a street mentality to propel his love for all things music, and the streets-meets-tough love act of Urban Mystic have paid off for him, propelling the singer's albums and hit singles onto the Billboard charts while still feeling out future success.Born with the name Brandon Williams, Urban Mystic grew up the youngest of four children, cemented into his father's church at a young age. Developing a penchant for music while involved at church, Mystic had trimmed down and drawn out his musical aspirations as a teenager. Taking to producing as another talent, Urban Mystic flourished under his brother Christopher, eventually changing his name to Urban Mystic and scoring a recording contract with SoBe Entertainment (part of Warner Music Group). Awaiting monumental success, Mystic's debut album Ghetto Revelations was released in 2004, receiving widespread fame with the lead single ""Where Were You?"" Teaming up with a variety of producers such as Kay Gee (Naughty by Nature), Red Syda and El DeBarge (DeBarge), Mystic was thrust into the public scene immediately. Just 19 years old, Urban Mystic experienced his first Billboard hit with Ghetto Revelations, which sparked the number 15 slot on the Top Heatseekers chart while also earning spots on the hip-hop/R&B charts for the single ""Where Were You."" Coming off this first-time success, Urban Mystic went back to the studio immediately, recording the follow-up to his debut album. Ghetto Revelations, Vol. 2 was released in 2006, garnering similar fame as the first with a spot on the Billboard charts and two charting singles."
