Yung Berg Biography
There may be plenty of rappers today who hail from the great city of Chicago, but perhaps none have achieved such great recognition in such a short amount of time as Yung Berg. Born in 1984, Berg, whose real name is Christian Ward, leapt to success with his first single, "Sexy Lady." The song itself debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at the number 99 spot and featured the rapper Junior. Yung Berg has a refreshing sound, some might venture to say that it has a classic touch with a modern twist, and he is certainly redefining the boundaries of the hip hop genre as we know it today.Yung Berg first entered into the music business when he was only 15 years old and he was immediately hooked. During his time at a military school, where televisions and radios were scarce, Berg developed what would be his own unique style, free from any outside influences. It was during this young time in his life that Berg realized what he wanted his career path to entail, but he wasn't about to let success go to his head all at once. Berg made a substantial effort to learn the business and entrepreneurial side of the music industry before delving into the spotlight. This proved to be extremely beneficial in launching his career to the next level, the level that would indeed find the young Berg in the recording studio and out on the stage.Berg signed with Epic Records to release his debut album, Look What You Made Me. The songs on the record are stories entirely conceived by Berg himself, and all are an aim to reach a wide ranging group of listeners with hits like "Do That There," "The Business ft. Casha" and "Sexy Can I."Yung Berg may not yet be a veteran in the world of hooded sweatshirts, baggy jeans and hip hop music, but he sure is well on his way to becoming one. Berg understood that in order to succeed amongst the tough competition in the industry he would have to work his way up through the ranks. He has learned the ins, the outs, the behind the scenes work and the performance skills needed to ensure that he is in the minds of many hip hop junkies in the years to come.
